The Clan Arthur Ancestral Lands Trust (or Clan Arthur ALT) is the Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) registered in Scotland on 18th August 2021. Charity No: SC051023. The charitable purposes are: The advancement of education, the arts, heritage and culture.

Mission Statement

The three primary objectives of the Clan Arthur Ancestral Lands Trust are :

  • To identify and mark Clan Arthur’s ancestral lands / property.
  • To gain formal access to Clan Arthur’s ancestral ruined townships for the purposes of:
    • Preservation
    • Archaeology
    • and Pilgrimage.
  • To create a sustainable legacy.

The ultimate objective of the Clan Arthur Ancestral Lands Trust is to create and maintain a Clan Arthur facility / heritage centre somewhere on Clan Arthur’s ancestral lands.

MEMBERSHIP

The Clan Arthur Ancestral Lands Trust (CAALT) and the MacArthur Societies are separate entities. CAALT is a membership-based organisation and our members are crucial to our success. Members are encouraged to become involved by raising suggestions and questions to the Trustees, they also form the pool from where future Trustees shall be voted in at the AGM. Current membership of a recognised MacArthur Society as listed on this web site is a pre-requisite for joining.
